What is Polystyrene?
Polystyrene is a plastic that is used in a wide variety of products. It is often used in packaging, to protect goods in transit, however it also has many other uses including in construction and design.
Polystyrene is available in different densities depending on your exact needs and requirements. It is made from expanded plastic that is moulded and cut into the required dimensions.
Challenges Sticking Polystyrene
Polystyrene is great insulation & also for protecting your washing machine in transit. However, it is also very susceptible to melting from solvents used in certain adhesives.
At Action Adhesives, we have a range of products ideally suited to adhering polystyrene. These products are selected for their rapid adhesion. The adhesives will not impact the integrity of the polystyrene, ensuring the product remains in suitable condition for the purpose required.
Products for Gluing Polystyrene
At Action Adhesives, we stock a sprayable adhesive H51. This sprayable adhesive is easy and fast to apply to the polystyrene surface. It is fast setting and gives an excellent bond.
We also have a brushable adhesive, that can be brushed onto the polystyrene surface. The cure time is slightly longer than that of the sprayable adhesive. However once dry it creates a very secure bond.
