What are the different types of Polyurethane Sealants and how are they applied?
They are two types of Polyurethane Sealants, Polyester and Polyether.
Polyurethane Polyester based sealant provides the physical properties available from urethanes, and its strength is greater than any other type of sealant.
Polyurethane Polyether based urethane sealant is known for its greater stretch and like polyester based polyurethane is resistant to water.
They are applied by being layered, pressed, sprayed, or even brushed on to the joints. The general consensus here at Action Adhesives is to apply using a caulking gun.
We have Polyurethane Sealants available here at Action Adhesives in either one or two component, and also stock a range of cartridges to stock most standard caulking guns.
