Anaerobic Adhesives Are The Perfect Choice for Threadlocking Applications!
Anaerobic Adhesives are adhesives that cure but only in the absence of air. Anaerobic Adhesives are mostly designed for applications such as metal to metal assemblies, but can be also used with certain types of materials. It works due to existence of metal ions, that accelerates the cure, and are often used in situations for threadlocking, pipe sealing, gasketing and retaining.
What are various types of materials Anaerobic Adhesives work best on?
How Long Does It Take Anaerobic Adhesives to cure?
Anaerobic Adhesives take usually around 24 hours to cure fully, but essentially the parts are fixed in less than 10 minutes, but this is often dependent on the grade of the product. To find out more accurately how long it takes to cure, refer to the Technical Data Sheet that comes with the Product. If you wish to accelerate the curing time, you should apply heat, but reference should be made again to the Technical Data Sheet, as it should state how long it will take, and what temperature to apply. This is very important, as one product differs from the next, and the TDS will provide the best basis to make decisions on.
Action Adhesives Anaerobic Adhesives comprises of products that allow for periodic dismantling of components, and we also supply products that can ensure the components are locked indefinitely. We also stock a list of retainers, bearing fit and instant gaskets, and pipe seal products.
Our team here at Action Adhesives are more than happy to recommend an adhesive for your application.
